Three Candles Deep podcast
My Echo book test is mentioned on the magical podcast Three Candles Deep, by Alexander Beresford, Kenny Stewart, and Henry Bustamante.
Echo and Haiku are also ranked in their Top 5 Best Book Tests, I'm so glad they liked them!
(For information, they bought Echo and Haiku themselves and give their independent reviews; I wasn't even aware of their mentions.)
They discuss the Echo book test from minute 23 to 32, and they give their Top 5 at minutes 47 and 53. You can find this audio episode at the following links:

Transcription of the segments:
Segment 1 — “Echo Hypnosis"
I also love the “Echo” book test, the hypnosis one from Vincent Hedan, which uses the flashback principle.
I love the Vincent Hedan book test because it’s the hypnosis one. It goes well with my background.
“Mystical Secrets of Hypnosis.”
And I love the fact that it’s available on Amazon, too.
It’s a real book. You can read it back-to-back. It’s available for regular people to buy and read and learn about hypnosis, and it has actual information. So I love that. It goes well with my hypnosis background. It’s one of my favorites, too.
Segment 2 — Vincent Hedan, the “Echo” series, Amazon, instructions
Let’s go back real quick to Vincent Hedan. I do want to have him come on and hang out with us here, because Vincent is a very, very interesting guy.
He’s French, but I think he lives in the Philippines. I think. But we want to have him on, so I believe he’s going to be coming on with us at some point to talk about all this stuff.
But the “Echo” book test is interesting because he’s releasing a number of Echo book tests in different subjects. I have two of them: I have a dream book — dream interpretation, or dream book — and I have a Tarot book, the Rider-Waite version. He has a Tarot de Marseille version, and, like I said, there’s a dream book, there’s a hypnosis book. He’s going to have one on a few different subjects.
What’s interesting about the Vincent Hedan Echo books is his presentation. I find that very interesting. It’s basically the flashback principle. Very well done. Very well done. But his presentation is very nice. And the choice of words for these different books: cartomancy will have a lot of things related to that; dreams will have a lot of words related to that. So he takes you sort of like, “This is the word for you today,” sort of thing. The word becomes very meaningful, and the presentation around it is very nice.
But yeah, I have two of the Echo book tests. They’re very nice. And they do sell them on Amazon. They’re like, I don’t know, I think you can buy them for like 57 bucks or something.
It’ll come with no instructions, because that’s just the book he has on Amazon for regular people. You can download a Kindle version of it for nine bucks.
But that’s just for regular people. Because he says when he does these Echo book tests — and he’ll explain more when he’s on with us — people will sometimes say, “Oh, what’s the title of the book? I want to learn more about it. Where can you get it?” So he has them all available on Amazon so people can buy them.
Now, it’s like 57 bucks because if a magician wants to buy it, and they know how it works, then hey, they could just buy it from Amazon. Or they could buy it directly from him, or from, I don’t know, I guess a couple of dealers sell them.
Very cool books. I really enjoy them. Of course, if you buy from a magic dealer or from him, you’re going to get the instructions, which is key.
Once you know how to use one of them, you’ll know how to use all of them.
Segment 3 — Alex’s top five book tests / “Haiku”
I have a top five, but I’m sorry, I cannot put these in a particular order. They’re just going to be top five in general. It’s impossible for me to say which is the actual number one, and number two, and number three. It’s impossible. So, in no specific order, here are my top five book tests.
Vincent Hedan’s “Haiku” book test. I love to write. I love haiku. I actually really enjoy Japanese poetry, haiku and senryu. I’m sort of a little bit of an expert in that type of poetry, but I love it. And we do the Japanese festival here three times a year, the Ichimura Japanese Festival here in Miami, and I perform at the Japanese festival three times a year, and I always perform the “Haiku” book test.
But the “Haiku” book test is with me all the time. It’s almost an everyday carry. It’s always in my bag, because I just love it, and I love talking about haiku. And if people are interested in poetry, or that type of poetry, it’s a good way to introduce this Japanese form of poetry. So the “Haiku” book test is in there, my top five.
Segment 4 — Kenny's Top five / “Echo” Hypnosis
My top five, again, like you said, no particular order. I really struggled putting these in a one-through-five, but I couldn’t have the heart to really decide. It’s impossible. So I agree with you: in no particular order.
I love Vincent Hedan’s “Echo” book test, the hypnosis book, because it goes well with my hypnosis background. It’s right up my alley. So I love that one.
And the words that are in there, right? Because, like I said, every…
The words are great. It just fits wonderfully.
It’s a great selection of words. You could really work with those. You could really expand and milk the reveal.
