Today I come back to the collection "If it bleeds", by Stephen King. This time we will talk about the eponymous main short story, where we once more follow the autistic detective Holly Gibney, whom I mentioned in my previous videos about « The outsider ». Her investigation will confront her to individuals with strange powers that can inspire our creativity.
Published in 2020, "If it bleeds" is a collection of four short stories by one of my favourite writers, Stephen King. Thanks to him, we will solve a classic problem of mentalism, travel in time, and manifest magic in the pocket of the spectator.
Released in 2016, "The OA" starts when a blind woman, who had been missing, resurfaces seven years after her kidnapping. Except her sight is now fine, and she also seems to have developed strange powers.
Released in 1979, "Being There" is an American comedy in which Peter Sellers plays the role of a gardener who spent the first fifty years of his life isolated from the world, taking care of a garden. When he finds himself confronted with the outside world, people mistake his naive and simplistic vision of life with a profound, maybe mystical philosophy, making his character extremely magical.
